About Me

Hello! My name is Ms. Rivera, and I am so excited to be your child’s first-grade teacher this year! My mission in the classroom is to create a warm and supportive environment where every student feels confident to explore, learn, and grow. Outside of teaching, I enjoy outdoor activities like bike riding and walking. I can’t wait for all the wonderful experiences we will share together this year!

About Our Classroom

Welcome to our first-grade classroom! School starts promptly at 8:10 AM, so please make sure your child arrives on time each day. Students will be picked up at 2:30 PM from our designated dismissal area. We’re fortunate to have an ELL teacher to support our English Language Learners.

In terms of homework, my policy is simple: homework will reinforce what we’ve learned in class and should take no more than 30 minutes each night. It’s important that students complete their assignments to build strong study habits.

In our classroom, we believe in creating a fun and engaging learning environment. Students will have access to various learning centers where they can explore different subjects through hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and independent work. We’re going to have an exciting year filled with discovery, creativity, and growth!
